We have been checking the reviews for Teletext Holidays on Trustpilot and we are not the only people who are experiencing the same problem!!! What on earth can we do now? Where do we go from here? We can't afford to throw money down the drain, but this is what its like!!! Our hard earned money we have paid out & we've received nothing apart from sleepless nights and countless waisted hours on the phone. Teletext are likely buying the hotel through a third party bed bank or Receptive and they may have different trading conditions. We also paid for Travel Insurance through before the pandemic hit but apparently this isn't any help either because we are expected to claim our money back through Teletext!!! The only advice they could give us was to seek legal advice!!! (more money)!!! (Insurance isn't worth paying out for).

We have also been in touch with our Bank for a chargeback but we paid in full at the time on our debit card and apparently because Teletext have made us a part payment there is nothing they can do, they are going to look into it but have advised us that they can't promise that this will help. Since then we have been ringing weekly and holding on for nearly an hour or so only to have the phone then hung up!!! to find out where the rest of our refund is? (otherwise known as the Package Travel Regulations 2018 the PTR for short). We sent our email and was then told to expect our refund in 30 days, this did not happen and after many long hours and many days on the phone and many promises later by Teletext we eventually received a part refund!!!, we received this on 20th August 2020. Claim compensation for cancelled holidays with our free reclaim tool. We contacted Teletext Holidays for a refund only to be told that we would have to email on the 31st of July and request a refund. Our holiday obviously was cancelled due to Coronavirus. Please can you help us, we don't know where to go next or what to do!!! We booked a holiday back in February 2020, our holiday was for March 2020, on the day of booking we paid in full.
